EDUCATION

Education is the cornerstone of our society, giving people the tools they need to make an impact and perhaps, inspire change and ultimately improve their quality of life. The transition to college can be an overwhelming one for parents as well as the students.  This is where our team of educators’ step in to help parents navigate through the college admission process.  From essay writing, college selection, SAT Prep and paying for college. We have also incorporated a GED Prep program for those that are looking to obtain their high school equivalency Diploma.

FINANCIAL LITERACY

Many High School students as well as adults lack the financial knowledge needed to make informed financial decisions that are necessary to better prepare themselves for the future.

As stated by the President’s Advisory Council on Financial Literacy, financial education is defined as “the process by which people improve their understanding of financial products, services and concepts, so they are empowered to make informed choices, avoid pitfalls, know where to go for help and take other actions to improve their present and long-term financial well-being.” We believe that this knowledge should be acquired during the students’ liberal arts education. Establishing a financial literacy program will help to impart the necessary financial knowledge needed to make wise financial choices when planning for the future. A lack of financial literacy may produce future consequences such as misuse of credit cards, poor credit ratings, increased High School and college dropout rates, and additional stress due to a deteriorating financial situation.  Our team of experts will guide candidates through the importance of being financially literate. Workshop topics include: Credit building, debt consolidation, budgeting, understanding your credit rating, raining day funds, investing, home ownership.
